Achievements, mounts and bones

Image
I spend Sunday killing dinos. I had to. For 10 000 of them bones I got white raptor mount. A pretty one and pretty useless - he can't fly.

Warriors and me

Image
I admit I always got problem with warriors. I mean - playing them, understanding them and enjoying them. Highest warrior I rolled and levelled was like 35 or 40 level. I just fel incredibly bored and deleted this character. I don't know why exactly - warriors are great tanks, great damage dealers, they fit into setting, lore etc. Maybe they are too mundane? Too "down-to-earth"? I really don't know. And I don't care. Because suddenly I found joy levelling my dwarfen warrior and this time I'll ding 100. Maybe it's because I like dwarfs in WoW in general. Maybe it's because I like Ironforge (a little empty these days, but I still like them great halls, with flickering torches) - shops, taverns, districts. Whole concept city under the mountain. But I disgress. Warriors. I am levelling Fury one - with Titan Grip of course (whis is one of the most epic perks, btw). And speed and fluency of the fights is awesome. Not to mention that I two-hit average tra...

Prelate at last

Image
I'm freaking happy. Finally pushed Council of Exarchs rep to Exalted. So now my paladin is Prelate. It was long, boring grind but now it's over. Of course, something inside me just started looking for another rep grind... Am I masochist? Goodnight.

The Unbearable Lightness of Dailies

Click click click, space, space, space, click - naval missions done. Click, click - garrison missions done. Hearthstone to Tanaan Jungle and let's begin daily dailies. And while we doing that, let's talk about dailies for a moment. I like 'em. Really. WoD dailies are much much better than Pandaria ones. Then again - anything is better than Pandaland dailies. They're quick, they give substantial reward (for me, I'm reputation freak) and they give me something to do (I'm no raider, no RPer, no guildie, remember?), they are easy to complete. And - this is most important - I don't see them as tedious chores. Take me 45 min to 1 hour to complete them and it's perfect. Because this is enough to relax after work and have time for family or nordic walking or whatever. Pandaland dailies we're long, tedious and not funny at all. WoD dailies won anytime. With Legion looming over horizon they give me something to do before new xpac.

Gimme back my Caketown

Image
From http://www.wowcheck.de/images/big/dalaran.jpg So yeah, I need it back. Full of players. I need to hear cling-cling at blacksmith place. I want to hear tchoo-tchoo at toy store. I want to see lines to engineering auction bot again. I want to stride them windy twisty streets again. And stay awhile and listen (pun intended) in beer garden. Dalaran. Caketown. Lagtown for some. City of secrets and delicious wine. Please Blizzard make it viable and habitable and live again in Legion. This city deserves more than being left behind after WotLK.

Lonely goat is lonely

So yeah - feel bored at WoW. There's little to do for a guy who a) don't raid b) don't do pvp - what else? HC Dungeons with random dudes? Meh, it feels like I'm doing this with bots. Sometimes, but it's very very rare somebody says in /I "hi". And that's it. So meh. Garrison quests? Alright, but... they are boring. Naval quests? 5 minutes of clicking 5hours of waiting. So I unsubbed for like 2 months. I played lots of Guild Wars 2 and a bit of The Secret World. Nice change from WoW, but... something's missing in both games (it's not like WoW is an ideal, no no). I started thinking about how it was 2-3 years ago in WoW. I know I know - you know all about "before <enter xpac name> WoW was cool". But it's the people who make difference. People who left WoW for their own reasons. I watched them go. Still got some of them in contacts here and there, but... I miss playing WoW with them. I tried with othe guild - does not wor...

Because I'm happy...

So, there's hope. WoW Insider crew started site on their own, funded by recurring crowdfunding service. And it's nice. And I like it. Check this out, it's worth a look (yeah, I know, graphic sucks, but they are writers, not artists :)). BlizzardWatch here . Crowdfunding service here . Strongly reccomended by Uncle Goat!

Sadness

My favourite WoW place is shutting down . I suppose some bloody accountant looked at excel file and signeed death warrant. Sad. All those years, folks at WoW Insider were giving me something interesting to read and to think about it. Always on high level, always fun, always food for thoughts. I really will miss WoW Insider. Really. And eh... Do something new, guys, I'll track you on Twitter. /salute
